In 2006, the City commissioned independent research to look into Sydneysider’s attitudes towards cycling and to find out how people travel into and around the local government area.

The findings of the 2006 research were used to help shape the Cycle Strategy and Action Plan 2007 – 2017.

This research was repeated in 2009 and 2011.
