Does your neighbourhood group have a great idea for a cycling project that would involve your local community? The Matching Grants team wants to hear from you!

Grants for cycling initiatives

The City of Sydney Matching Grants program is here to help you get your cycling project off the ground and riding! They will match your in kind volunteer contribution up to $10,000 to help pay for any tools needed to help make your cycle project a success.

We particularly love any ideas that encourage non bike riders to branch out and give cycling a try and programs that promote safe cycling in the community.

How do I apply?

The steps to apply application process for the Matching Grants program is very simple!

1. Gather your community group together and brainstorm some ideas for a cycling project.
2. Meet with the Matching Grants team before submitting an application to discuss your project (contact details below)
3. Apply! Use the online submission form or alternatively, contact the Matching Grants team to have a submission form mailed to your address.
