Bicycle Groups

Bicycle User Groups (BUGs) support a bicycle-friendly culture and have a wealth of knowledge to share. They are also a great way of meeting new people to ride with. Contact your local BUG for more on bike lessons, bike buddy programs, cycling events and membership.

Is a member-based association representing more than 50 Bicycle User Groups across NSW with a mission to promote, advocate and support cycling.

BIKEast
Covering the area of Woollahra, Waverley, Randwick and Botany Council, this group runs a Wednesday morning ‘bike bus’ from Bondi to the city and Friday social rides.

BIKENORTH
Covering the Hornsby, Hunters Hill, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby, Lane Cove, North Sydney & Ryde council areas, this group runs regular rides and works with Councils towards implementing their bicycle plans to get better cycling routes and facilities.

Manly / Mosman Bicycle User Group
This group holds regular rides around the northern beaches and occasional cycling trips further afield.
